Back from the cold: a moment’s happiness by the fireplace
As the cold weather returns, so does the desire to end the day around an open fire. There’s no substitute for the serenity that comes from watching the dancing flames, so conducive to relaxation. We like to meet in front of the hearth to read, exchange confidences or share a cup of tea or an aperitif, depending on the time of day.
Unfortunately, our contemporary homes have forgotten the benefits of this technology, in favor of more conventional heating systems such as gas radiators or electric convectors.
And when we’re lucky enough to have real fireplaces in our rooms, we’re not always in a position, especially when we’re city dwellers, to store and supply them with wood.

The benefits of a decorative fireplace
To overcome these drawbacks, decorative fireplaces can be an excellent compromise. Over the years, these fireplaces have become increasingly sophisticated.
Decorative fireplaces resemble real fireplaces. From a decorative point of view, customers have two options. Either integrate a simple fireplace installed in the existing chimney, or consider the installation of a chimney according to your decorative criteria.
Some models are very stylish, and installation is simple. For floor-mounted models, an electrical connection is all that’s required, while wall-mounted models need to be fitted to the wall.

Beautiful and efficient fireplace models
The latest-generation fireplaces are designed to heat a 30m2 room. Beyond that, they are best used as an auxiliary heater to complement the existing installation. Electric fireplaces are equipped with a thermostat that regulates their output and power consumption. To distribute the heat throughout the room, some models are equipped with a ventilation system that optimizes the effect of the heat released by this trompe-l’oeil heater.
Decorative fireplaces are totally safe. There’s no risk of children getting burned, and the cost of sweeping or checking the chimney lining is a thing of the past.
From an ecological point of view, they emit no carbon and there is no blast effect as with an ethanol fireplace. All existing models meet strict European standards.
Finally, to rediscover all the pleasures of an open fire, there are numerous accessories to enhance the trompe-l’œil effect of these decorative fireplaces. From the pebble to the fake log, not forgetting the luminous variations of the LEDs that equip the fireplaces, everything can be used to recreate that moment by the hearth.
