Electric fireplaces – how much power do they consume?

What does your electric fireplace consume?

What could be nicer than curling up by the fireplace? What an intense pleasure it is to warm up in front of a hearth! How many times have we been captivated by the sight of a roaring fire, and felt the time fly by!

Yes, having a fireplace in your home is a blessing. And it’s possible, even if your home wasn’t originally equipped with one.
At Chemin’arte, we offer a selection of electric fireplace models, at least one of which will be perfectly suited to your interior.

At Chemin’arte, the fireplace is an art form

Chemin’arte is a combination of the words fireplace and art, because we combine the two perfectly: our fireplaces are not only a functional source of energy, they’re also a beautiful object of art and decoration.

The fireplaces we present below are electrically operated. Convectors hidden behind an LCD screen powered by LEDs, a fan takes care of diffusing the heat in the room. They offer a number of advantages: firstly, they can be built in or moved around, and secondly, they fit naturally into your living room, dining room, boudoir or bedroom. There’s no need to banish our fireplaces from any room because they’re so easy to install: a simple electrical outlet will do the trick; another advantage is that they’re economical; and finally, they’re environmentally friendly.

Add to this the fact that our Chemin’arte fireplaces are furniture in the truest sense of the word, that is to say, an object that you can be proud to display in your home, a beautiful object designed by talented designers: imagine, you can even choose the color of the flame, orange, green, blue, or even opt for a mixture of two colors; the combinations are endless!

Our electric fireplaces have adapted perfectly to technological progress. You can choose to use them as a beautiful decorative object to take advantage of their aesthetic qualities, or activate the heating function for the added comfort of warmth. They’re equipped with a thermostat that lets you control the desired temperature with a remote control: the ultimate in comfort! An electric fireplace is also synonymous with an odorless, smokeless, soot-free and maintenance-free fireplace. It therefore combines all the advantages of a traditional fireplace without any of its disadvantages.

How much does an electric fireplace cost?

The price range is very wide and affordable, with the first models priced at less than a hundred euros. Given that no additional fuel is required, our product is very economical. The average consumption of an electric heater is 1,000 to 2,000 watts, and in lighting mode only 4 to 11 watts.

What more could you want? 1 KW heats 10 m², so for an average room of around 20 m², you’d need to reckon with an electricity consumption of 2 KWh, or around 0.316 euros per hour at the current price of 0.1579 euros per KWh. That’s quite a saving, because our electric heaters, as auxiliary heaters, complement the existing energy supply in your home, but at a lower cost. In fact, thanks to the energy produced by our low-consumption electric heaters, you’ll have plenty of scope to reduce the consumption of your other, more energy-intensive heating appliances, with a consequent reduction in your energy costs.

Which electric fireplace is right for you?

Four different types are available:

  • mobile fireplace: the advantage of a mobile fireplace is that it can be moved from one room to another, as required, even on an outdoor terrace. It can be placed on the floor or on a piece of furniture.
  • wall-mounted fireplace: fits discreetly on the wall of your room.
  • built-in fireplace: recommended for smaller spaces, it is easy to install thanks to its front-mounted air intake.
  • free-standing fireplace: an electrical socket is all you need to install the fireplace, and that’s it.

All our fireplaces are equipped with LED technology, the technology of the future synonymous with energy savings, long-life bulbs, instant ignition, respect for the environment and, last but not least, zero ultraviolet emissions.

In conclusion, a brief overview of the safety of our fireplaces: no combustion, no venting, no carbon monoxide, no danger!
The only constraint is that, since the cold air intake is at the bottom and the blower at the top, a minimum margin of 20 cm must be left between the electric heater and any other element.
